I’ve had the privilege of serving my client Capital One in several very high-profile on-site moments, as well as in supporting the launch of their TikTok presence in the summer of 2023. Through our partnership, I’ve been able to help Capital One tell compelling social-first stories on platforms they were already familiar with, and in new territories as they’ve taken on the challenge of storytelling via trend-centric short-form vertical video content. In everything we’ve created together, our aim has been to keep our fingers on the pulse of the social landscape as we’ve found ways to tap into trending moments online, while staying true to our brand tone and value prop.
My work with the team has been unique in that I got to serve as one of the first creatives to offer a full suite of creative skills at on-site partnership events, eliminating the need for fully stacked teams with siloed roles. For most of the projects featured here, I owned the work from start to finish, bringing the conceptual and social-first strategy on the front end, including designing the pitch decks and mockups, selling in concepts to the clients myself, and then being the on-site production resource who was shooting the footage (primarily on iPhone), and then editing final assets for immediate publishing on my phone in real-time, all while ensuring the client was satisfied every step of the way. Nothing says “I work in social” quite like pulling together a TikTok edit on an iPhone while Miguel is serenading you in the background and the confetti falls from the show’s stadium ceiling. 😍
